Albania Payroll Changes - 2026

Minimum salary/Wage changes
  • National minimum wage: Increases to ALL 50,000 (up from ALL 40,000).
    • Effective: January 1, 2026.
  • Minimum gross hourly wage: Increases to ALL 287.3 (up from ALL 229.9).
    • Calculated on the basis of 174 working hours per month.
Rate/Percentage changes affecting payroll
  • Social insurance salary base
    • Maximum salary base: Increases to the same extent as the minimum wage.
    • Note: Pursuant to Law No. 7703, any increase in the minimum wage triggers a corresponding increase in the maximum base for social insurance purposes.
