Colombia Payroll Changes - 2026

Minimum salary/Wage changes
  • Monthly minimum wage: Increases to COP 1,750,905 (up from COP 1,423,500).
    • Increase: 23% (Net increase of COP 327,405).
    • Effective: January 1, 2026 (Decree 1469 of 2025).
Rate/Percentage changes affecting payroll
  • Allowances (Law 2466 of 2025)
    • Employees earning up to 2 minimum wages must receive a transportation or connectivity allowance.
  • New increases
    • The 23% wage increase triggers a proportional increase in social security contributions (health, pension, risks), statutory benefits (service bonus, severance), and payroll taxes (parafiscales).
Other payroll-impacting changes
  • Workwear entitlement (Law 2466 of 2025)
    • Employees earning up to 2 minimum wages are entitled to three clothing and footwear provisions annually.
