Does opening up a legal entity come with advantages, such as a resident permit?

While as a UK legal entity owner, you get many advantages for your business, a resident permit is not one of them.

However, non-residents are allowed to register, i.e. open legal entities in the UK, which doesn’t automatically grant a resident permit.
