Romania Payroll Changes - 2026

Minimum salary/Wage changes

• Monthly gross minimum wage (Effective July 1, 2026)
  • Increases to 4,325 RON (up from 4,050 RON).
  • Note: From January 1 to June 30, 2026, the minimum wage remains 4,050 RON.
     
• Hourly minimum wage (Effective July 1, 2026)
  • Increases to 25.949 RON/hour (based on an average of 166.667 hours/month).
  • Prior to July 2026, the hourly rate is 24.496 RON/hour (based on 165.334 hours/month).
