How do we terminate or offboard an employee, and what happens with final pay?

Termination is governed by the employment laws of the country where the employee is engaged, and our legal team will guide you through the entire process.

Where appropriate, we generally recommend a mutual termination agreement, as it can provide a smoother outcome for both parties. Because this approach requires the employee's consent, offering compensation broadly comparable to a unilateral termination (such as notice pay and any applicable severance) often helps facilitate the agreement.

Regardless of the termination method, employees are entitled to receive salary up to their last working day and payment for any accrued but unused annual leave, where required by law.

Once you submit the termination request and confirm the intended termination method and last working day, we'll prepare the necessary documentation, calculate the final leave entitlement, and arrange the final payroll and invoice.
