How do leave balances and carryover work?

The absence management tool automatically tracks an employee’s contracted annual leave, carryover days, and any pending leave requests. When submitting a new absence request, the system provides a preview showing how many leave days will be deducted and what the remaining leave balance will be after the request. 

Leave balances update automatically in real time whenever a request is submitted or approved. In addition, to help employees use their leave on time, we send email reminders before carryover days expire. Employees receive one reminder two months before the expiration date and another reminder one month before the expiration date.
