How sick leave documentation works?

Sick leave rules may vary depending on the employee’s country. Two possible scenarios exist:

1. Documentation required immediately
The employee sends sick leave documentation to the employer directly.

2. Flexible sick leave policy
In some countries, employees may submit a sick leave request without documentation for the first two days.

In the second case:

• The employee selects a checkbox confirming that documentation will be provided later.
• The request is marked as documentation required from the employer.
• The request can’t be approved until documentation is uploaded.
