Why can’t I book weekends or public holidays?

Absence requests can’t be scheduled on weekends or public holidays. This is because the absence management tool follows these rules:

- Weekends are treated as non-working days

- Public holidays are automatically excluded

- If a leave request spans weekends or public holidays, those days are not deducted from the leave balance
