Why can’t I book weekends or public holidays?

Absence requests can’t be scheduled on weekends or public holidays. This is because the absence management tool follows these rules:

  • Weekends are treated as non-working days
  • Public holidays are automatically excluded
  • If a leave request spans weekends or public holidays, those days are not deducted from the leave balance
